Adria Mobil Cycling Team

One of the smallest continental teams in the peloton has big ambitions

The most successful Slovenian team has high hopes in finishing the season in first 20 teams of Europe Tour, and by that gaining a ticket to the world cycling championships team time trial race.

The team has 10 riders: Kristjan Durasek (Cro), Kristjan Fajt (Slo), Matej Gnezda (Slo), Pavel Gorenc (Slo), Aljaz Hocevar (Slo), Marko Kump (Slo), Matej Mugerli (Slo), Tomaž Nose (Slo), Simon Pavlin (Slo) and Radoslav Rogina (Cro). Although the team is small, it's well rounded: GC (Nose, Rogina), roulers (Fajt, Gnezda, Mugerli), sprinters (Hocevar, Kump), all-arounder (Durasek, Gorenc) and climber (Pavlin).

At the start of the 2012 season, the Adria Mobil cycling team is the 19th team on UCI Europe Tour ficticious ranking (5th among continental). Main goals of the season revolve around races in Slovenia; Tour de Slovenie UCI 2.1., Zagreb – Ljubljana UCI 1.2., GP Kranj UCI 1.1., and some of the races like Settimana Internazionale Coppi e Bartali UCI 2.1. , Giro dell’Appennino UCI 1.1., ProRace Berlin 1.1...

Team manager Bogdan Fink: "Cycling team from Novo mesto is celebrating 40 years of existence. Four decades of great competition and organizational achievements. Dedication to the cycling sport, fighting spirit, hard work and desire for victories were always characteristics of guys, who defended colors of team and its sponsors. Their victories and great results were supplemented by the 'organizational part' of the team with organization of races. (The biggest and most important race in Slovenia Tour de Slovenie is organized by the team's organizational part.)

Some big names of cycling came to the Pro Tour level from this Slovenian based team. Jani Brajkovic, Gorazd Stangelj, Simon Spilak, Grega Bole and Robert Kiserlovski all rode in the team. Most of them are still connected and training with current team members.

TELENET FIDEA CYCLING TEAM

The Telenet Fidea Cycling Team is a Belgian continental team, specializing in cyclocross.

During the past ten years, the Telenet Fidea Cycling Team (before: Fidea Cycling Team) was the number one team for elite cyclocross racers, winning multiple world championship titles. In 2011, reigning world champion Zdenek Stybar left the team to pursue a road career. So the team management decided to change the vision and goals of the team: Telenet Fidea would become a “building team”. We’ve started a ladies and juniors team, with one goal: to guide and support very good, young riders and let them become top riders. Even in the first year, this new vision paid off immediately: in every race at least one of the six juniors made the podium. For the Belgian Championships, they’ve even filled the whole podium with Daan Soete, Wout van Aert and Quinten Hermans. At the World’s of Koksijde 2012, the young Telenet Fidea Cycling Team gained a second, fourth and fifth place. Our ladies team also had a great start and filled plenty of podiums during the season.

Veteran top rider and Telenet Fidea team member since the beginning, Bart Wellens, brings a lot of value to the team and still podiums from time to time.

Rob Peeters won the silver medal at the 2012 World Championships of Koksijde and Tom Meeusen is our absolute top rider for the future. He combines the talent, technique and hunger for training that will bring him to the very top of cyclocross.

The Telenet Fidea Cycling Team is very pleased to work together with Kinetic, so we can build a great future together!
